Why do I not see EcoCash (or Google Play) as a payment option?
How you pay depends on where your Murudo came from: Google Play, the murudo.co download or Murudo Web. How to tell, and what to do.
- Android app
- Murudo Web
How you pay depends on which Murudo you are using. The app installed from Google Play pays only through Google Play. The app downloaded from murudo.co and Murudo Web pay through Paynow: EcoCash, OneMoney, InnBucks, card or bank. One app cannot use the other's payment methods.
| Where you use Murudo | How you pay |
|---|---|
| Android app installed from Google Play | Google Play |
| Android app downloaded from murudo.co | EcoCash, OneMoney, InnBucks, Card & Bank |
| Murudo Web at murudo.co/app, on any phone or computer | EcoCash, OneMoney, InnBucks, Card & Bank |
Google Play's rules require an app installed from Google Play to take payment through Google Play. That is why the two Android apps differ.
How to tell which Android app you have
Start to buy a pass: open Profile, tap See Plans, choose a pass and tap the button that starts with Get Plus or Get Gold.
- If the next screen is called Subscribe and has Purchase with Google Play, you have the app from Google Play.
- If it is called Buy Pass and lists EcoCash under Payment method, you have the app from murudo.co.
You can close that screen without paying.
I have the Google Play app and want to pay with EcoCash
- Use Murudo Web. Open murudo.co/app in your phone's browser, log in to the same account and pay there. A pass belongs to your account, so it is active in the app as well.
- If you see Pay with EcoCash, InnBucks or card under Purchase with Google Play, tap it. It opens the Murudo Web checkout for that pass in your browser, already signed in. Not every account has this button.
- Or use the app from murudo.co instead of the one from Google Play. The two cannot be installed together and cannot update each other, so read Google Play or the direct download: which one? first.
I have the murudo.co app and want to pay through Google Play
The app from murudo.co cannot use Google Play payments. To pay by card, choose Card & Bank: see Pay with OneMoney, InnBucks, card or bank.
I use an iPhone
iPhone members use Murudo Web, so they pay through Paynow. There is no Murudo app in the App Store and no payment through Apple.
