Does my pass renew by itself?

Passes paid with EcoCash, OneMoney, InnBucks or card never renew. 7-day and 30-day passes bought through Google Play renew until you cancel.

  • Android app
  • Murudo Web

It depends on how you paid. A pass paid with EcoCash, OneMoney, InnBucks or card is paid once and never renews. A 7-day or 30-day pass bought through Google Play renews until you cancel it in Google Play.

Passes paid through Paynow

This covers the Android app downloaded from murudo.co and Murudo Web.

  • You pay once for one period. The pass ends on its end date and Murudo does not take another payment.
  • There is nothing to cancel, and no cancel button.
  • The Premium screen says No automatic renewal under your plan.
  • Murudo may send you a reminder about a day before a pass ends. A reminder never charges you.
  • After a pass ends, the app may ask Renew Premium? You only pay if you tap Renew and approve a new payment yourself. Tap Don't remind me to stop the question.
  • Murudo may remember the number you paid with and offer Renew with EcoCash. Even then a prompt goes to that phone and nothing is paid until the PIN is entered.

The plan card on the Profile tab says Ends before the date. An older version of the app said Renews there. That wording was wrong for these passes: they end on that date.

Passes bought through Google Play

  • A 7-day or 30-day pass is a Google Play subscription. Google Play charges you again at the end of each period until you cancel.
  • The Premium screen says Renews through Google Play and has a Manage in Google Play link.
  • A 24-hour pass is a one-time purchase and never renews. The Premium screen says No automatic renewal for it.
  • Removing the app or logging out does not stop the renewal. See Cancel a Google Play subscription.

Buying more time before a pass ends

If you pay through Paynow for more time on the same plan while a pass is still running, the new time starts when the time you already have ends. Nothing overlaps and nothing is lost.

A Google Play subscription is different. Time bought another way is not added to it: the two run side by side.

Forever plans

A Forever plan is paid once and has no end date, so there is nothing to renew. See Forever plans.
