Tips for a profile that gets replies
Practical advice on photos, your bio and prompts, so the right people have a reason to like you and something to say first.

- Murudo Web
A profile gets replies when people can see you clearly, tell what you are like, and find something to ask you about. You do not need to look perfect. The short version is below, and the full Murudo profile guide goes further.
Photos
- Lead with a clear one. Your main photo should be bright, simple and only you.
- Show range. A close-up, a full-length photo and one or two from your everyday life tell people more than six similar selfies. You have room for 6.
- Let your life show. Cooking, football, church, dancing, travel or time with family say more than a filtered mirror photo.
- Do not hide. Sunglasses in every photo, group photos only, or photos taken from far away make people work too hard.
For how to add and arrange them, see Add, replace or reorder your photos.
Bio
- Keep it to a few lines: what you are like, a little of what your life looks like, and what you are hoping to find.
- Give one real detail. A favourite Sunday meal says more than a line that could belong to anyone.
- Stay warm. Complaints about dating or about other people push good matches away.
- Be honest about what you want. Your Looking for answer and your bio should say the same thing.
- Check your spelling.
Prompts
- Use all 3. Each one is another reason for someone to write to you.
- Be specific. A short answer with a detail in it gives the other person a question to ask. A one-word answer gives them nothing.
- Try a prompt that says where you come from, such as My totem is... or My home village/town.
See Add or change your prompts.
The rest of your profile
- Pick interests you would enjoy talking about. You can choose up to 8.
- Get verified. The badge shows that your photos are really you. See Get the verified badge.
- Keep your number off your profile. It is not allowed there. Share it in chat when you are ready.
- Look at it as a stranger would. Open Preview Profile and ask whether it feels like an honest picture of you.
- Check Insights. It shows what is still missing. See Dating Insights and profile completeness.
The aim is trust: photos, bio and prompts that match each other and match the person who will turn up on a first date.
