Why did my match or chat disappear?

A match and its chat disappear when one of you unmatches or blocks the other, or when the other account is deleted or removed. Murudo does not say which.

  • Android app
  • Murudo Web

A match leaves your Matches list, together with its chat, for one of four reasons. Murudo does not say which one it was, and it does not tell the other person when you do the same.

The four reasons

  • One of you unmatched. This deletes the chat for both people.
  • One of you blocked the other.
  • The other person deleted their account.
  • Murudo removed the other person's account.

A chat that has gone for one of these reasons cannot be brought back. People leave and end chats for many reasons, and most have nothing to do with you.

Check these first

  • If you see Matches didn't load, or a banner that starts Showing saved matches, nothing has been deleted. It is a connection problem. See "Matches didn't load" and saved matches.
  • Look at both tabs. Chats are on Primary. Requests waiting for your answer are on Daily.
  • Check which account you are in. If you signed in a different way from usual, for example with Google and not your username, you may be in a second account that has no matches. See Log in to Murudo.

What does not remove a match

  • Time. Matches do not run out.
  • Pausing your account, or the other person pausing theirs. You can still chat with your matches while paused.
  • Your Plus or Gold pass ending.
  • Deleting a single message. That hides only that message, and only for you.

If you see This conversation has ended

Opening a chat from an old notification can show This conversation has ended where the message box used to be. The match is over and nothing more can be sent there.

Daily requests are different

A request on the Daily tab that you do not answer in time expires and leaves the list. See Daily requests in Matches.

If you need to report the person

You can still report someone after a match has ended. See Report someone after an unmatch or block.
