  • Murudo Web

No. A Murudo chat carries text messages, photos and stickers. There are no voice notes, no voice calls and no video calls, in the Android app or on Murudo Web, and you cannot send a video.

What you can do in a chat

The Android app does not use your microphone, so it never asks for permission to record sound.

If you want to talk before you meet

Wanting to hear or see someone before a first date is sensible. Because Murudo has no calls, that means using a phone number or another app, so take it in steps:

  • Get to know the person in the Murudo chat first, and look for the Verified badge on their profile.
  • Share your number only when you are comfortable. Read When to share your number or move to another app.
  • A video call before you meet is a good way to check that someone looks like their photos. Be careful with anyone who always has a reason not to appear on camera, or who asks for money. See Spot a romance scam.
