"Something went wrong" and other error messages

What the common Murudo error messages mean, from "Something went wrong" to "Cannot reach Murudo right now", and what to do about each.

  • Android app
  • Murudo Web

Most error messages in Murudo mean the app could not reach Murudo's servers. They do not mean something is wrong with your account. Check your connection and try again. The messages below are the ones you are most likely to see.

"Something went wrong"

A dark screen with Something went wrong, the words "An unexpected error occurred. Tap below to try again." and a Try Again button. The app hit a problem it did not expect.

  1. Tap Try Again.
  2. If it comes back, close Murudo fully and open it again.
  3. If it keeps coming back, update Murudo.

If it always appears at the same point, report it with Profile, Settings, Report a bug, and say what you tapped just before. See Request a feature or report a bug.

Connection messages

  • No internet connection
  • Cannot reach Murudo right now. Check your connection and try again.
  • Cannot reach the server right now. Check your connection and try again.
  • The request timed out. Check your connection and try again.

All four mean your request did not get through. See Using Murudo on a slow or lost connection.

"We couldn't complete your request right now. Please try again."

The problem is on Murudo's side, or the connection broke halfway. Wait a minute and try once more. You see this mostly when logging in or signing up.

"Please check your input and try again."

Something you typed was not accepted, for example an email address with a typing mistake. Look at each field again.

"Unable to confirm your profile right now. Please log in again."

Your sign-in has ended on this phone. Log out and log in again. See Log in to Murudo.

Screens that did not load

Unable to load profiles, Couldn't load your likes, Matches didn't load and Could not load inbox mean one screen could not refresh. Pull down or tap Try again. Your likes, matches and messages are safe.

Messages about waiting

Too many attempts, Rate limit exceeded and Slow down are explained in "Too many attempts" or "Slow down" messages.

Messages that are not errors

On Murudo Web

The usual wording is Something went wrong. Please check your connection. Check your connection and reload the page. See Murudo Web is not loading or looks wrong.

If you ask support

Send the exact words of the message, or a screenshot. See Take a screenshot to send to support.
