The Murudo rules in plain words

What is and is not allowed on Murudo, what happens when a rule is broken, and how to report someone who breaks one.

  • Android app
  • Murudo Web

Murudo is for respectful, honest dating between adults. This page puts the Community Guidelines and the Terms of Service in plain words. Those two pages are the official versions: where this page and they differ, they are what counts.

Be respectful

  • No harassment, hate speech, threats or bullying.
  • Respect consent and boundaries, in messages and in person.
  • No sexual coercion and no abusive behaviour.

Be authentic

  • Use your real identity and give accurate information on your profile.
  • No impersonation, catfishing or misleading profile content. Your photos must be real photos of you.
  • Do not make a second account to get around a suspension or a ban.
  • You must be 18 or older.

Keep it safe

  • No scams, phishing, extortion or financial manipulation.
  • Do not share another person's private information without their consent.
  • No promotion of illegal activity, trafficking or exploitation.

Content standards

What happens when a rule is broken

Depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before, the guidelines allow our team to:

  • give a warning
  • remove the content, for example a photo
  • suspend the account for a time
  • ban the account permanently

A third suspension becomes a permanent ban. If your account has been restricted, read My account was suspended or banned. If you believe the decision was a mistake, you can appeal.

Report someone who breaks the rules

Use the report tools in the app: on a person's profile, or in the Safety Center. Every report is reviewed by a person, and action is taken on evidence and on these rules. The steps are in Report someone.

If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

Read the rules inside the app

In the Android app, open Profile, tap Settings, then Account and security, then Terms & Privacy Policy. The Terms there include a section called Community Guidelines.
