Bots and automation tools
Murudo is for real people using it by hand. Why bots, auto-likers and mass messages are not allowed, and what to do if you meet one.
- Android app
- Murudo Web
Murudo is for real people using it themselves. An account run by a bot, a script or an auto-liker, or one that sends the same message to many people, breaks the rules and can be suspended or banned.
What the rules say
Murudo has no separate rule that names bots. What applies is already in the Community Guidelines and the Terms:
- Be authentic. Use your real identity, with no impersonation and no misleading profile content. A profile that a program operates is not a real person using Murudo.
- No spam. Repeated adverts and mass messages are spam, whether a person or a tool sends them.
- Do not get around safety measures. The Terms inside the app list attempting to circumvent any safety or security measure among the things you agree not to do.
Misuse can lead to content being removed, a suspension or a permanent ban. See My account was suspended or banned.
What this means for you
- Like, pass and message by hand, in the Murudo app or on Murudo Web.
- Do not use an app, a browser add-on or a script that likes, passes or sends messages for you.
- Keep your account to yourself. The Terms make you responsible for what is done on your account, and the people you match with expect to be talking to you. Never give anyone your password.
- Do not copy and send the same opening line to everyone as a way of advertising something.
If you see "Slow down"
Murudo limits how fast anyone can like and pass. If you go too quickly, you see Slow down with the message "You're swiping too quickly. Give it a moment and try again." Nothing has happened to your account. Wait a little and carry on. More in "Too many attempts" or "Slow down" messages.
If you think you are talking to a bot
Signs include replies that ignore what you wrote, the same message sent again, and a quick push to open a link or move to another app. Do not tap the link and do not send money.
Report the profile and choose the spam or scam reason. The steps are in Report someone, and the warning signs are in Spot a romance scam.
