What each event status means

Going, Checked in, Payment pending, On waitlist, Cancelled, Under review and Refunded: what each event status means and what to do next.

  • Android app
  • Murudo Web

Your status for an event is on the event page under YOUR STATUS, and on the event's card in the Meets list. You have a place when it says Going. If an event shows no status, you have no booking for it.

StatusWhat it meansWhat to do
GoingYour place is confirmed. The venue is shown and My QR ticket is ready.Show the QR code at the door. If you cannot come, tap Cancel reservation.
Checked inMurudo staff have checked you in at the event.Nothing. A booking cannot be cancelled in the app after check-in.
Payment pendingYou started paying for a ticket and have not finished.Tap Continue payment and finish, or tap Cancel reservation.
On waitlistThe event was full when you joined, or you are on the balance list for a free Gold seat. You do not have a place yet.Open the event again later and book when a place opens. The balance list confirms a seat by itself.
CancelledYou gave up a place you had not paid for, a waitlist spot or an unfinished payment, or Murudo cancelled an event you had not paid for.If the event is still on and places are left, you can book again.
Payment not completedA ticket payment could not be started.Start again with the Pay button.
Under reviewA ticket you paid for has been cancelled, or a payment arrived when no ticket could be issued. Our team is reviewing a refund.Do not pay again. Wait to be contacted, or contact support.
RefundedOur team has recorded your ticket as refunded.Check your mobile money or bank statement. If the money has not arrived, contact support with your payment reference.

Payment pending

Murudo holds your place for about 15 minutes from the moment you start paying. After that the place can go to someone else, even if the status still says Payment pending. Continue payment then starts a new payment if places are left. If the screen says Checking your payment, wait and do not start a second payment. See Pay for an event ticket.

Payment not completed

You are unlikely to see this one. When a ticket payment cannot be started, Murudo clears the status, so the event shows its Pay button again with no status at all.

Under review

You see this when:

  • you cancelled a ticket you had paid for
  • Murudo cancelled the event, or your ticket, after you had paid
  • your payment went through after you cancelled, after the event was cancelled or over, or after your hold ran out and the event had filled up

Murudo's message for a cancelled paid ticket says the team will review a refund and contact you. It gives no set time, and a review is not a promise of a refund. While a ticket is under review you cannot cancel it or book that event again in the app. To ask about it, contact support from Profile, Inbox, Contact Murudo with the event name and date, the number you paid from and your payment reference. See Cancel an event booking.

Checking cancellation

The Android app can briefly show Checking cancellation if your connection dropped while you were cancelling. Go back to the Meets tab and open the event again to see whether the cancellation went through.

On Murudo Web

The status is a small label on the event's card and page, in the same words as in the app. The balance list for a free Gold seat shows as Gold balance list. Murudo Web lists only events that have not started. See Using Meets on iPhone and Murudo Web.
