Privacy and your data
Who can see you, what Murudo keeps, and what happens to your data when you leave.
- Who can see my profile?Which members are shown your profile, what they can and cannot see on it, and the settings that hide you or parts of your profile.
- Hide your last active time or locationTurn off Show last active or Show my location in Privacy and security, and what other members see once you do.
- Does Murudo read my messages?Your chats are between you and your match. When our team can review a conversation, what research does with messages, and what happens to a chat when it ends.
- What Murudo knows about youThe information Murudo collects, what it is used for, who it is shared with, and the choices you have, in plain words.
- What happens to my data when I delete my accountDeleting your account removes your profile, photos, matches and messages straight away. What is removed and the limited records that may be kept.
- Get a copy of your dataThere is no download button in Murudo. To get a copy of your data, email support from the address on your account and we check it is you first.
- What happens to my verification selfieWhat Murudo does with the selfie you take for Face Verification or the sign-up Selfie Check. Who sees it, how it is stored, when it is deleted and what is kept.
- Remove the profile of someone who has diedIf a Murudo member has died, a relative or friend can email our support team and ask for the profile to be removed. What to send us.
- Requests from the police or courtsHow the police, a court or another authority can ask Murudo for information, what to include, and what a member should do after a crime.
- How Murudo uses anonymous totals for researchMurudo Labs studies combined, anonymous totals such as how many likes are sent, and may publish them. No names, photos or messages are published.
- Can someone screenshot my profile or chat?Yes. Murudo cannot stop a screenshot and does not tell you when one is taken. How to share with that in mind and what to do if a screenshot is misused.
