# Fix your birthday or age

You can correct your birthday yourself once in Edit Profile. After that, only support can change it. Your age follows your birthday.

You can correct your birthday yourself once. After that, only support can change it. Your age is worked out from your birthday, so correcting the birthday corrects the age on your profile.

## Correct your birthday in the Android app

1. Open the **Profile** tab and tap **Edit Profile**.
2. Tap **Birthday**. The **Correct birthday** screen opens.
3. Choose the right date.
4. Tap **Save birthday**.
5. In **Use your one birthday correction?**, tap **Save birthday** again.

Check the date carefully before the last step. The message on screen says it plainly: after you save, only Support can change your birthday again.

## What to know

- Other people see your age, not your date of birth.
- The birthday must make you between 18 and 100 years old. Murudo is for adults only: see [You must be 18 or older](https://help.murudo.co/rules/you-must-be-18/).
- A padlock on the **Birthday** row means you have already used your correction. The banner at the top of Edit Profile says **Confirmed birthday stays protected**.

## If you have already used your correction

You see **Birthday change unavailable**, or the row will not open. Contact support and include:

- your username or the email on your account
- the birthday your profile shows now
- your correct date of birth

In the app, open **Profile**, **Inbox**, **Contact Murudo**, or email [support@foretellhq.com](mailto:support@foretellhq.com). See [Contact Murudo support](https://help.murudo.co/settings/contact-support/).

## On Murudo Web

1. Open the **Profile** tab and tap **Edit Profile**, then **About You**.
2. Change **Birthday**. The line under it tells you whether your one correction is still available.
3. Tap **Save** at the top and confirm.

If the **Birthday** box cannot be changed, your correction has been used. Contact support as above.
