# Is it safe to pay on Murudo?

Payments are handled by Paynow or Google Play. Murudo does not store card details and never asks for your EcoCash PIN.

Payments on Murudo are handled by Paynow (EcoCash, OneMoney, InnBucks, card and bank) or by Google Play, not by Murudo itself. Murudo does not store your card details, and it never asks for your mobile money PIN.

## Who handles your payment

- In the Android app downloaded from murudo.co and on Murudo Web, Paynow handles the payment. For mobile money, the prompt comes from your own provider on your own phone. For a card, you type the details on Paynow's page.
- In the app installed from Google Play, Google Play handles the payment with the methods on your Google account.

## What Murudo keeps

- A record of what you bought: the plan or pack, the amount, the date and the payment reference.
- The mobile money number you paid with, so that renewing is quicker. You may see **Saved number ending** and its last four digits.

Murudo does not keep your PIN or your card details. It never receives your PIN at all.

## Your PIN

- Enter your PIN only in the prompt from EcoCash or OneMoney, on your own phone.
- Murudo never asks for your PIN in the app, in a chat, in your Inbox or by email. There is no place in Murudo to type it.
- Do not tell your PIN to anyone, including someone who says they are from Murudo support.

## Payments start with you

A Murudo payment only starts when you tap a pay button in the app or on Murudo Web. If a prompt appears on your phone that you did not ask for, do not enter your PIN.

## Money and other members

Payments for Murudo never go to another member. If someone you met on Murudo asks you to send money, to pay a fee to "unlock" or "verify" something, or to share a code, stop and read [Someone asked me for money](https://help.murudo.co/safety/someone-asked-me-for-money/).

## Use the real Murudo

Get the Android app only from Google Play or from [murudo.co](https://murudo.co/), and use Murudo Web only at murudo.co/app. Support talks to you in your in-app **Inbox** or by email, and Murudo's emails come from addresses ending in foretellhq.com. Murudo has no phone line, and nobody from Murudo will message you privately on WhatsApp to ask for a payment.

## If something looks wrong

If you see a payment you did not make, or you were charged twice, contact support with the payment reference: open **Profile**, **Inbox**, **Contact Murudo**, or email [support@foretellhq.com](mailto:support@foretellhq.com). If you think someone else got into your account, see [I think someone else has used my account](https://help.murudo.co/account-and-login/someone-else-used-my-account/).
