# Get notifications on Murudo Web

Turn on browser notifications in Settings, under Account. On an iPhone they only work after you add Murudo to your Home Screen.

Murudo Web can notify you about new matches, likes and messages. You turn this on in **Settings**, under **Account**, at **Browser notifications**. On an iPhone it only works in the Home Screen version of Murudo, so add Murudo to your Home Screen first.

## On an iPhone

1. [Add Murudo to your iPhone Home Screen](https://help.murudo.co/murudo-web/add-murudo-to-your-iphone/).
2. Open Murudo from the Home Screen icon and sign in.
3. When **Turn on notifications** appears, tap **Turn on**.
4. Tap **Allow** when your iPhone asks. Murudo shows **Notifications are on.**

If you tapped **Later**, Murudo asks again another day. You can also turn them on yourself with the steps below.

## On Android or a computer

1. Open **Profile** and tap **Settings**. On a computer, open **My account** at the bottom left, then **Settings**.
2. Tap **Account**.
3. At **Browser notifications**, tap **Enable**.
4. Allow notifications when your browser asks. Murudo shows **Browser notifications are on.**

Notifications are set for each browser on each device. If you use Murudo Web on a phone and on a computer, turn them on in both.

## What the Browser notifications row tells you

| The button says | What it means | What to do |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Enable** | Notifications are off here | Tap it and allow |
| **Turn off** | Notifications are on for this browser | Nothing |
| **Install first** | You are on an iPhone in Safari or another browser | Add Murudo to your Home Screen and open it from there |
| **Blocked** | Notifications for Murudo are blocked in your browser or phone settings | Allow notifications for murudo.co in those settings, then come back |
| **Unavailable** | This browser cannot show notifications | Update the browser or use another one |

If there is no **Browser notifications** row at all, you opened Murudo inside another app such as Facebook or Instagram. Open https://murudo.co/app/ in Safari or Chrome instead.

## Turn them off

Go to **Profile**, **Settings**, **Account** and tap **Turn off** at **Browser notifications**. Logging out also stops notifications in that browser.

There are no switches for single kinds of notification. It is all on or all off.

> A message notification shows the first words of the message. Do not turn notifications on in a browser that other people use.
