# Talk to the other people going to an event

Once your place is confirmed, open the event and tap Group chat to talk with everyone else who has a place. Some events have no group chat.

When your place at an event is confirmed, open the event on the **Meets** tab and tap **Group chat**. The chat is named after the event, and everyone else with a confirmed place is in it too.

## Who can use it

- Only people with a confirmed place. If you cancel your place, you leave the chat.
- Only verified members. If you have a place but are not verified, the event shows **Get verified to join the group chat** instead. Verify your profile and the chat opens.
- Some events have no group chat, for example an event that happens online. Then there is no **Group chat** button.

## Writing in the chat

1. Open the event and tap **Group chat**.
2. Type in the box at the bottom and send.
3. New messages appear while the chat is open.

Everyone in the chat sees what you write, with your name and photo. People you have blocked, or who blocked you, do not see each other's messages.

> [!IMPORTANT]
> Never send money, or bank or mobile money details, to someone from a chat. Our team can read event group chats to keep people safe and to look into reports.

## If someone makes you uncomfortable

In the app, press and hold their message and choose **Report**. On Murudo Web, tap **Report** under the message. Our team looks at the message and the rest of the chat. You can also [block the person](https://help.murudo.co/safety/block-someone/).
