# Cancel an event booking

Open the event, tap Cancel reservation and confirm. A free place is released at once. A paid ticket goes to a refund review by our team.

To cancel, open the event, tap **Cancel reservation** and confirm. A free place is simply released. If you paid for your ticket, the cancellation goes to our team for a refund review. A review is not a promise of a refund.

## Cancel in the Android app

1. Open the **Meets** tab and tap **My events**.
2. Tap the event.
3. Scroll down and tap **Cancel reservation**.
4. On **Cancel reservation?**, tap **Cancel reservation**. Tap **Keep it** if you have changed your mind.

Your place may be offered to another member. The venue is hidden again and your QR ticket stops working.

## What happens next

- A free place, a place on the waitlist or a payment you had not finished: your status changes to **Cancelled**. You can book again if places are still left.
- A paid, confirmed ticket: your status changes to **Under review**. Murudo's message for this case says the team will review a refund and contact you. It gives no set time and does not promise the result. While a ticket is under review you cannot book that event again in the app.
- If the money is returned, your status changes to **Refunded**.
- If a payment you had already approved goes through after you cancel, the ticket also shows **Under review**.

For refunds on Murudo in general, see [Can I get a refund?](https://help.murudo.co/premium-and-payments/refunds/)

## When you cannot cancel in the app

- After you have been checked in at the event.
- When the ticket already shows **Under review** or **Refunded**.

If you need help with one of these, contact support from **Profile**, **Inbox**, **Contact Murudo**. Give the event name and date, the number you paid from and your payment reference. See [Contact Murudo support](https://help.murudo.co/settings/contact-support/).

## If Murudo cancels an event

A paid ticket for an event that Murudo cancels shows **Under review**, and a free place shows **Cancelled**.

## On Murudo Web

Open the event on the **Meets** tab, tap **Cancel reservation**, then **Confirm**. For a paid ticket, Murudo Web shows this message: "Your ticket is cancelled. Because you paid for it, our team will review a refund and contact you."
