# Invite codes and inviting friends

The invite code box at sign-up is optional. If you see Invite Friends on your Profile, you and a friend can each earn a free day of Plus.

You do not need an invite code to join Murudo. The **Invite code (optional)** box at sign-up is only for people who were given a code. Inviting friends yourself is only possible if you see **Invite Friends** on your Profile.

## Using a code when you sign up

1. Tap **Create account**, then **Continue with email** or **Sign up with username**.
2. Type the code in **Invite code (optional)**, exactly as it was given to you.
3. Finish signing up as usual.

Things to know:

- There is no code box when you sign up with Google. Use email or a username if you have a code to type.
- A code can only be entered while you sign up. You cannot add one to an account afterwards.
- If you see **That invite code isn't valid, so we removed it**, the code was mistyped or is no longer in use. Type it again, or tap **Create account** again to join without one.
- Joining without a code changes nothing about your account.

## If you see Invite Friends

Invite Friends is switched on for some accounts and not others. If you have it, it is the last row on your **Profile** tab.

1. Open **Profile** and tap **Invite Friends**.
2. Your code is under **Your invite code**.
3. Tap **Share invite link** to send your link and code to a friend.

When a friend joins with your invite and launches their profile, you both get a free day of Murudo Plus.

The link opens murudo.co and carries your code into Murudo Web. If your friend installs the Android app instead, ask them to type your code in **Invite code (optional)** when they sign up.

### The rules

- Your friend must be new to Murudo. Someone who had an account before does not count, and neither do you.
- The reward unlocks once your friend has verified their account and launched their profile. They have 30 days from signing up.
- You can earn up to 5 rewarded invites a day. Any extra ones are rewarded later, not lost.
- A second sign-up on a phone that already joined with an invite does not count.
- The reward is added automatically. It is not instant, so give it a little time.

The screen counts your invites as **Invited**, **Joined** and **Rewarded**.

### Where the free day shows

Your Profile shows **Plus Member** with **Referral reward** and the date it ends. If you already have Premium, the free day is added after the time you have.

## If you do not see Invite Friends

It is not switched on for your account, so there is no reward for inviting someone at the moment. Your friends can still join at https://murudo.co/.

## On Murudo Web

The **Invite code (optional)** box is on the same two sign-up forms. If Invite Friends is on for your account, it is on your **Profile** under **Features**, with **Share invite link** and **Copy link**.
