# I liked or matched with someone by mistake

Plus and Gold members can take a like back with Rewind for 30 seconds. After that a like stays sent, and a match you did not want can be unmatched.

On Plus or Gold, tap the Rewind arrow on For You within 30 seconds and the like is taken back. After 30 seconds, or on the Free plan, a like cannot be taken back. If it turns into a match you do not want, unmatch the person.

## Take the like back with Rewind

Rewind is part of Plus and Gold. It works only on For You, and only for 30 seconds after the tap.

1. Stay on the **For You** tab.
2. Tap the **arrow** at the top right. It is the first icon in the row.

3. The profile comes back. Tap the **X** to pass.

If your like had already made a match, rewinding in time normally removes the match too. If the app says **Can't undo this like**, the like and the match both stay, and you will need to unmatch. See [Undo your last pass or like with Rewind](https://help.murudo.co/finding-people/rewind/).

## If the 30 seconds have passed

- The like stays sent. The person may get a notification that someone liked them, and your like waits in their **Likes** tab.
- You can see the person in **Likes**, under **You Liked**, but you cannot take the like back from there.
- Nothing more happens unless they like you back. If they do, you match.

> [!WARNING]
> Do not block someone just to cancel a like. A block cannot be undone in the app. Block only if you never want contact with that person.

## Unmatch a match you did not want

This also covers a like-back tapped by mistake in **Likes**, which makes a match at once.

1. Open the **Matches** tab and tap the person's photo. Or open the chat and tap their name at the top.
2. At the bottom of their profile, tap **Unmatch**.
3. Tap **Unmatch** again to confirm.

The match ends and the chat is deleted for both of you. The person is not sent a notification, and it cannot be undone. See [Unmatch someone](https://help.murudo.co/matches-and-chat/unmatch-someone/).

## A Daily request sent by mistake

**Reach out** on a Daily introduction cannot be taken back. It becomes a match only if the other person chooses **Interested**, and it runs out if they do not answer within 20 hours. If it does become a match, unmatch as above.

## If you passed by mistake

On For You, Plus and Gold members can Rewind within 30 seconds, and people you passed on can come back later anyway. **Not for me** on a Daily introduction and a pass in **Liked You** cannot be undone.

## On Murudo Web

The Rewind arrow is the first icon at the top of **Discover**, and a message says **Undo successful** when the profile is back. To unmatch, open the chat, tap the person's name at the top, tap **Unmatch**, then **Confirm**.
